Christianity is not only believing in Christ Jesus as the Savior but it is also doing good to others. Works demonstrate the faith. Christ came in this world to liberate people who are oppressed, suppressed, who are in poverty and in bondage and who suffer from diseases. It is this work of liberation that prompts Christians all over the world to elevate the sufferings.

The diocese of Jabalpur is sensitive to the needs of the people. We have the Jabalpur Diocesan Board of Social Services and its aim is to fight against the suppressive forces and liberate people from all bondages. The Social Service Board is engaged in :-

-   Face to face programme
-   Legal aid and Panchayati Raj
-   Street theatre.

The reference areas villages number about 75 in  Mandla District.

The other and a distinct work for the handicapped and the Blind is the Vikas Asha Kendra in Jabalpur where weaving, stitching, sewing and knitting is taught. The children develop self-confidence and become aware of their usefulness to the society. Mrs. Nora Singh as Director has done a commendable work in promoting and infusing a keen sense of service and dedication among the staff.
