The Pastor’s conference was held from 27th - 29th June 2005. It was a good experience for the pastors to meet and have fellowship and interaction with each other. Such meetings have their importance as these encourage unity and fellowship and give new thoughts and vision for better working and are helpful for their ministry.

The seminar was well attended by almost all pastors except one or two who could not attend due to personal reasons.

Dr. Christopher David of My Hope India had come as the guest speaker. HE challenged the pastors to take up evangelism seriously and as the great commission of our Lord. There are many unreached places and men who have not heard the Good News of salvation and deliverance The pastors by virtue of their office which God has given to them have special responsibility in motivating and organizing evangelistic campaigns. But anointing of the Holy spirit is necessary before embarking on this mission.

It was our privilege and honour to have the General Secretary of the Church of North India in the person of Rev. Enos Das Pradhan. Rev. Pradhan gave the history of the church of North India and explained how the spirit of God worked in uniting the six churches to form one union. This is a great and unique union as the churches are merged together but are free to observe their traditions. The whole of the church of North India is committed to be united and to demonstrate the unity, witness and service which is the emblem of the CNI. The General Secretary spoke about the emblem and its significance.

The General Secretary also spoke about the synod meetings and the reasons to hold the next Ranchi synod in October 2005.

T
here was time for discussion and for clarification on various topics related to administration and constitution which the General Secretary ably explained.

Resource persons dealt with the topics like the study of the CNI Constitution and the need to have closer ties with the diocese. The Bishop conducted the Bible Study; Mr. Suresh C. Jacob took up constitutional study.

The pastors went back to their respective places after getting valuable teaching and exposure.
