Introduction
The Christ Church School was established in the year 1870 and had
their beginnings in the vestry of the Christ Church Cathedral. Our
schools have enjoyed the proud privilege of being among the first
group of schools affiliated to the Council for the Indian School
Certificate Examination right from the time the Council was
established by the University of Cambridge Local Examination
Syndicate.
Earlier both our schools i.e. the Christ Church Girl’s Senior
Secondary School and the Christ Church Boy’s Senior Secondary
School were affiliated with the Council. Owning to the overgrowing
pressure of admission for Indian School Certificate Examination,
our visionary Bishop The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. C. Singh took a
historical decision to open up a separate ISC wing both for the
Boys & Girls. As a result of our Bishop’s great dedication and
untiring efforts towards the great cause a new ISC wing has been
opened up in a separate block. The first academic session
commenced from the 1st April 2005. The Christ Church Senior School
for Boys & Girls (ISC Wing) continues to function with its old
affiliation no M.P. 003.
The school functions under the Board of Education, Church of North
India, Jabalpur Diocese. The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. C. Singh is the
Chairman of the Board with Mrs. Nora Singh as the Manager of the
school.
The School’s Aim
The school aims at providing true education which will help our
children release capacities, develop analytical abilities,
confidence in and to instill the vision that will enable them to
become self motivating agents of social change, serving the best
interest of the community.
