The
Rt. Rev. Dr. P. C Singh was born on December 12th 1962
in Chandsurari, Dist. Samastipur (Bihar) and has
completed his education in Jabalpur. He did his
Theological Studies from Leonard Theological College,
Jabalpur. He was Ordained as a Deacon on 8th April 1988
and was Ordained as Presbyter in charge on 10th, April
1990. He was the Secretary of the Diocese of Jabalpur
C.N.I. from November 2002 till April 2004. Since April
2004 he has been elected as Bishop, of the Diocese of
Jabalpur, Church Of North India.
The
Bishop carries with him a long varied experience of the
pastoral ministry, ecumenical exposure and contribution
towards the student Christian movement of India M.P.C.C.
& N.C.C.I and many other forums. He has a long exposure
about church administration. He has been awarded with
Doctor of Divinity in Christian Education from U.S.A. |

He
is active as a Chairman in SCMI Mid India, YMCA(Jabalpur)
and Rural Life Program(RLP) Chairman CNI Synod, N,
Delhi. A Vice Chairman of Bible Society Of India and
member of NCCI, Youth and XIDAS. He is the president of
stewardship committee of Church of North India. He is a
member of the governing body of Synodical Board of Social Service
of Church Of North India. He is also the chairman of
Gass Memorial Centre.
The
Ministry of the Bishop started from Bhatapara as a
diocesan worker, deacon and presbyter near Bilaspur
where he was a bachelor. While in Bhatapara he was
married to Nora Singh of Bilaspur and they are Blessed
with two children, Piyush 12 and Priyanka 11.
Nora
has been a source of strength and encouragement. She has
been his loving partner and has been with him in thick
and thin. They are a small happy family for which he
gives thanks to God for everything that He has given to
this family.
Nora
is busy in looking after Vikas Asha Kendra, a project
for the handicapped of which she is the director. She
has a passion to minister to the handicapped and is
always ready to attend to the needs of the children.
Nora is also the Manager of the Christ Church Girl’s
Hostel and she visits them at regular intervals. With
her election as the President of WFCS of the diocese she
has infused new vigor in the organization by traveling
and meeting women in different pastorates under her able
and devoted guidance all the institutions which she
leads are making steady progress.
As
a housewife she does not neglect the home and personally
involves herself in cooking and looking after the
studies of the children. She often accompanies the
Bishop in his tours to different pastorates. Nora has
proved an excellent life partner and her contributions
in the ministry of her husband have been of great value. |
